What we collect

• Browsing: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate location). If you decline, it isn't loaded.
• Click counts: we count how many times a listing's “View on Instagram” link is used. This count isn't linked to you.
• Newsletter: if you sign up for deal alerts we store your email address, optional first name, the area you're interested in, the page you signed up on, the date, the consent wording you agreed to, and a one-way hash of your IP address (used only to stop abuse; we don't keep the IP itself). We use this only to send you Declutter Scout deal emails. We don't sell or give your email address to sellers; if we include sponsored offers from sellers, they're sent by us. Every email will include an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed.
• Seller applications: name, email, phone and Instagram username you submit, used only to review and contact you.
• Payments: handled by Paystack. We receive the payment reference, email and amount, never your card details.

Listing and market data

We keep a record of listings after they are sold, removed or expire (item, price, area, dates) to produce anonymous market statistics about Nigeria's declutter market. This doesn't include buyer data.

Cookies

We use a session cookie needed for forms, and analytics cookies only with your consent. You can change your choice any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Advertising

We may show ads in future through an advertising partner. If we do, this policy will be updated and consent will be requested where required.

Seller content

Listings reproduce information sellers have published publicly on Instagram. Sellers can request correction or removal at any time.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Email hello@michaeladegoke.net.
